Basic information about the upcoming 2023 State Convention.

Friday April 28, 2023 1:00pm.at the Truman Library, Independence, MO. The dedication of the Missouri SAR plaque by the new statue of President Harry S Truman, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at President Truman’s grave, with a musket salute by the Color Guard. After which there will be a short reception with highlights about the updates on the Truman Library. Then anyone who would like to, can take a self guided tour of the library.

Friday evening,
We will gather for dinner at 6:00 PM at the Stoney Creek Hotel. Our guest speaker for the evening will be Ross Malone, noted Missouri author. His topic will be about the Medal of Honor recipients that are from the State of Missouri. He will also have his book for sale, $5 of which goes to help build tiny homes for veterans.

Saturday morning we will gather at 8:30 AM for a memorial service to remember those of our state society that have passed on in 2022. After that we will convene our annual membership meeting at 9:30 AM to 11:30AM. At noon we will have our luncheon. During this we will present awards to all non SAR recipients.

Saturday evening at 6:00 PM will gather for our annual awards dinner. We will award all of the SAR awards and install all the newly elected State Officers. Our keynote speaker will be Secretary General John Dodd.
