Missouri Society Sons of the American Revolution 2nd Vice President and Allen Laws Oliver Chapter President Matthew A. Toeniskoetter
joined the SAR in March 2023. In January 2024, Matthew was elected Chapter Secretary. A year later, in January 2025, Sergeant First Class Matthew Toeniskoetter, US Army Retired, was elected Chapter President. In April 2025, President Toeniskoetter was elected 2nd Vice President with the MOSSAR. Matthew was born in St. Louis, Missouri, where life provided many Interesting lessons. Moving to Missouri’ bootheel, Matthew joined the Missouri Army National Guard in 1983. Matthew graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1992.
Following positions in the civilian sector, Matthew worked fulltime for the Army National Guard for 10 years before finally retiring in 2007 with 24 years. Assignments, included stations in Panama, Honduras, Louisiana, Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, OIFII ’04-05. Upon retirement from the military, President Toeniskoetter has used his Military experience, Bachelor of Science degree and creative writing skills in positions of personnel security, asset management and office automation.
After Joining the Allen Laws Oliver Chapter, President Toeniskoetter leveraged his creative writing skills to construct meeting minutes that are publish ready quality, earning the Missouri Society, SAR Thomas Sentman Newsletter Editor Award for 2024-2025. President Toeniskoetter also utilizes his knowledge and expertise in filling the roles of acting Chapter Genealogist, Chapter Color Guard Commander, Chapter President and 2nd Vice President, Missouri Society Sons of the American Revolution.
President Toeniskoetter plans to continue the legacy excellent service to our local, state and national chapters of the Sons of the American Revolution.
