Ken Lawrence, Executive Vice-President Missouri Society SAR

Duties per the Missouri Society By-laws

The Executive Vice-President shall, in the absence or incapacity of the President to fulfill the duties of his office, become the acting President with all the rights, privileges, and powers of the elected President. He is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the liaison to the Society’s Annual Convention.

 Biography

Prior to his election as Executive Vice-President, Ken served as 2nd vice-president in 2023 and as 1st Vice-President in 2024. Ken’s past duties include chairing the Medals and Awards Committee for 7 years. He chaired the Flag Committee for 5 years and is presently the Chairman of the Endowment funds and the Pershing fund committees.

Ken is an active member of the National Society SAR and currently serves as a member of the Flag Committee, Medals and Awards Committee, George Washington Endowment Fund Committee, and the Color Guard.

Ken has been an active member of our State Society’s Color Guard for the past ten years.

He was awarded the Missouri State Color Guardsman of the Year award in 2018 and was awarded the National Von Steuben Medal in 2023. Ken is presently serving as the Southwest District Color Guard Commander.

Compatriot Ken Lawrence has been a member of the Ozark Mountain Chapter in Springfield, Missouri since 2015.

As a member of the Ozark Mountain Chapter, Ken has served in the following capacities: Historian, Secretary, Vice-President, and President of the chapter in 2019.
