The William C. Corum color guard was active in Parkville, Smithville, and Liberty, MO America 250 events on Independence Day, 2026.

As featured in today’s Liberty Courier-Tribune, the William C. Corum Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Alexander Doniphan Chapter, NSDAR, proudly rededicated a plaque honoring 20 Revolutionary War veterans who settled in Clay County, ensuring their legacy endures for future generations.

Preparations are underway as Liberty, MO remembers American Revolution soldiers.

The William C. Corum Chapter received Honorable Mention in the National Society Americanism Award – Large Chapter category.

The William C. Corum Chapter was recognized as a MO Society Josiah Fogg Participant at the recent MO Society convention.

Compatriot Greg Finch is recognized as MO Society Teacher of the Year at the recent MO Society convention.

Secretary Jeff Carey was recognized as an Endowment Member of the Friends of the Library for his ongoing support of the National Genealogical Library. 

Compatriot Jim Closson receives the Liberty Medal and the Patriot Medal from the SC Society via the recent MO Society Convention.

Ladies Auxiliary member, Jerre Robertson received the Abigail Adams Medal, Deborah Sampson with Oak Leaf Cluster Medal, Lucy Knox Medal, Silver Oak Leaf Cluster on Medal of Appreciation, Gold Oak Cluster on Martha Washington Medal, and the Silver Good Citizenship Medal at the recent MO Society convention.
