Corum SAR Chapter (Liberty, MO) and the&nbsp;White Alloe&nbsp;DAR chapter (Parkville, MO) visited residents at Tiffany Springs Senior Living Center. While there, Corum Color Guard Commander and retired Air Force Lt. Col. Dewayne Knott presented Mr. David &#8220;Bud&#8221; Morton with a war medal that was authorized by the President of South Korea. During Morton\u2019s military service in Korea, his position was overrun and he was the only survivor. He was left for dead by the Chinese. He spent a year and a half in the hospital recovering from his wounds.&nbsp; Corporal Morton received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his actions during the brutal battle that took the lives of all his brothers in arms.&nbsp; Mr. Morton, always with a warm smile and willing hands, is Past Commander of the Smithville American Legion Jim Nelson Post 58.&nbsp; Thank you, Mr. Morton for your brave service.<br><br>For more information about the William C.
