This contest is at the local level sponsored by our SAR chapter. \u00a0First Place at the chapter level receives \u00a0$250, winner at the state level receives $600, and winner at the national level receives $10,000, 2nd place $6,000, 3rd place $4,000. The Essay must be on themes of the Revolutionary War era with a 500 word minimum. \u00a0 Visit https:\/\/www.sar.org\/arthur-m-berdena-king-eagle-scout-contest\/<\/a> for the complete rules and application procedures.\u00a0 Entries are for Eagle Scouts who are currently registered with an active unit and will be judged on historical accuracy, grammar, spelling, and general composition with a local deadline of 31 Dec. The application year is the calendar year 01 Jan to 31 Dec.\u00a0 Mail entries to ALO Chapter SAR, P. O.
