			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Missouri Society of the Sons of the American Revolution is a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution and supports the programs and activities of the National Society.</p>
<p>The Missouri Society is composed of <a href="http://mossar.org/membership/local-chapters/local-chapters-by-city/">17 local chapters</a> with 500+ members statewide.   These members and chapters support freedom, patriotism, respect for our national symbols, the value of citizenship and one nation through a variety of activities:</p>
<p>1. Youth scholarships at the state and national level.</p>

<li><a href="http://mossar.org/programs/eagle-scout-scholarship/">Eagle Scout Scholarship</a></li>

</ul>
<p>2. <a href="http://mossar.org/programs/youth-contests/">ROTC and JROTC Programs in many Missouri colleges and high schools with awards to foster the principle of &#8220;citizen- soldier&#8221; exemplified by the Revolutionary War Minutemen. </a></p>
<p>3. <a href="http://mossar.org/programs/teacher-award/">MOSSAR Teacher of the Year Award recognizes a teacher who excels in teaching citizenship and American history. </a></p>
<p>4. <a href="http://mossar.org/membership/color-guard/">Revolutionary War Color Guards present the colors for a wide variety of public and private activities.</a></p>
<p>5. Our members attend and participate in many patriotic activities such as Memorial Day, July 4th and Veterans Day.</p>
<p>6. We identify and mark Revolutionary War Patriots&#8217; graves.</p>
